Lead the multi-discipline engineering work in the HVDC package!
Tasks and responsibilities:
Lead the multi-discipline engineering work in the HVDC package and contributes to deliver the HVDC system according to programmed and cost.
• Manages multidisciplinary engineering team, ensuring all disciplines are coordinated, integrated and working effectively and efficiently.
• Ensures design is in accordance with relevant rules, regulations and requirements.
• Ensures design is in accordance with the Grid Code, working alongside the Grid Manager. Supports Grid Manager in planning Grid Code compliance testing with contractor.
• Ensures alignment with line organization(s) and discipline advisors/Technical Authorities as needed.
• Manages design lessons learned and ensures experience from DBA is implemented in DBB/DBC.
• Contributes to no change philosophy, and manages handling of required changes.
• Identifies and highlights engineering risks (programme, cost, quality) and/or changes to HVDC Manager. • Establishes good working relations with contractor’s discipline.
• Secures good collaboration with engineering, completions, commissioning and commercial.
• Provides engineering support to Dogger Bank A operations.
• Looks for opportunities and drives improvement proposals.
Competence Requirements:
- Electrical power engineering.
- Experience from project execution.
- Competence within HVDC.
- Competence within Engineering management.
